Morning Salon: Active Conversations for Sustainable Solutions

 

Imagine a mash-up of a Ted-Talk, gamification and design thinking with some wicked smart cross-discipline professionals all working to super-charge sustainable solutions across the design world—that’s what you get at Morning Salon.

 

We are looking for a few social media interns and one event intern to help market and promote upcoming events for Morning Salon.  Morning Salon brings industry experts & collaborators together to engage in discussions about sustainable design and come up with sustainable solutions to help solve problems faced by industry experts.  This is an opportunity for you to get hands-on experience in marketing and promoting an event using social media.  

 

In this role you will help craft all social media posts, schedule posts, create images using PicMonkey, Photoshop or any other photo editing tool that you are familiar with.  You will also engage in real-time live social  media postings during the actual event. 

 

Skills needed:

Experience in using Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest

Experience with scheduling tools such as HootSuite, Buffer App, Facebook business pages scheduler

Strong interest in social media marketing

Strong interest in event planning and promoting

 

The timeframe for this internship is February 16, 2015 through May 29, 2015.  You will gain real world experience with a genuine sustainability advocate and professionals already working in the industry.  You will not be Xeroxing or getting coffee.  You’ll actually be building your resume and getting the right kind of experience you need to build your portfolio.
